Peering

One port on the nusa-IX fabric gives you two ways to exchange traffic: direct sessions with an individual member, or a single session with our route servers that reaches everyone.

Option one

Bilateral peering

A bilateral session is a direct, private BGP session between your ASN and one other member across the peering LAN. You agree terms with that network first — most operators publish a peering policy and a contact on PeeringDB — and then both sides configure the session using the addresses assigned on the fabric.

  • Full control over what you announce and accept, per network.
  • Useful for heavy traffic pairs where you want dedicated policy and monitoring.
  • Requires an agreement with each peer before the session comes up.

Option two

Multilateral peering (route servers)

The most common way to peer in Indonesia. You bring up one session with the nusa-IX route servers (AS212001) and immediately exchange routes with every member that participates. Prefixes are filtered against IRR and RPKI, and BGP communities let you control propagation per member without touching your session.

  • One session, many networks — the fastest way to get traffic flowing.
  • Announcement control and prepending through BGP communities.
  • Some members peer bilaterally only; arrange those sessions separately.

Onboarding

Onboarding starts on the Pricing page, not by email. Pick a port, submit the order form and we take it from there.

    Choose a port

    Open the Pricing page and compare the 10G, 40G and 100G ports, including the current launch promotion.

  2. 02

    Order a port

    Click “Request this port” to open the Order a port form and submit your company, technical contact, ASN, port speed and location. No email needed — the request lands directly in our system.

  3. 03

    Verification

    We review the request, verify ASN ownership and the address space you intend to announce, then confirm back to your technical contact.

  4. 04

    Cross connect & assignment

    You order the MMR cross connect in the facility while we assign your peering LAN address, port and VLAN configuration.

  5. 05

    Sessions up

    You configure BGP towards the route servers (AS212001), sessions come up and traffic starts flowing.
